Welcome to another exciting year at Jehue Middle School! It is an honor to begin my second year as Principal of this incredible school community. Reflecting on last year, I am filled with pride for what our students, staff, and families accomplished together. Our focus was intentionally centered on strengthening our school culture and creating an environment where every student feels safe, welcomed, and connected. That commitment produced outstanding results. Jehue Middle School finished the year with the lowest suspension rate, the greatest reduction in chronic absenteeism, and the highest overall student attendance among all of the middle schools in Rialto Unified School District. These accomplishments are especially significant because Jehue is by far the largest middle school in the district- with over 400 more students than the next largest middle school. These accomplishments demonstrate what is possible when students know they belong and are surrounded by adults who believe in their success.
Our school is guided by the principles of Jehue L.O.V.E.: Learning, Opportunities, Validation, and Expectations. These four pillars shape every decision we make and every interaction we have with students. We are committed to providing rigorous learning experiences, meaningful opportunities for growth, and an environment where every student feels seen, heard, and valued, while maintaining high expectations that inspire each child to reach their full potential. Together, these values have helped create a positive school culture and a welcoming school climate that make Jehue a special place to learn. While I may be a tad biased, I truly believe we have the finest staff in the Rialto Unified School District. Their passion, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to our students are the driving force behind everything we accomplish.
As we enter this new school year, we will build upon the strong foundation we established together. While our positive school culture remains at the heart of everything we do, our focus now expands to elevating teaching and learning so that every student continues to grow both academically and personally. Our mindset is simple: Get Better Every Day! We believe that excellence is not achieved in a single moment but through consistent effort, continuous learning, and a commitment to daily improvement. Together with our families and community partners, we look forward to another year of learning, growth, and success. Thank you for being a part of the Jehue Middle School family! Hello Jehue Middle School Community,
My name is Yolanda Smith, and I am proud to serve as the Assistant Principal at Jehue Middle School. This is my third year in this role and my 13th year as a proud Jehue Jaguar. It continues to be an honor to work alongside our dedicated staff, supportive families, and amazing students.
Over the past few years, we have made meaningful progress in creating a positive school culture, strengthening collaboration with our parents, and supporting student learning. These accomplishments are a direct result of the strong partnerships we have built within our school community.
Jehue is a very special place and I truly enjoy working with both our students and families. Building relationships, supporting student growth, and working together to create a safe and welcoming environment are at the heart of what we do.
As we begin this upcoming school year, I am excited about the opportunities ahead. We look forward to continuing our work with parents and the community to ensure that every student is supported, challenged, and inspired to succeed.

Hello Jaguars!
I am excited to begin this new chapter as the Program Specialist at Jehue Middle School. After serving as the ELA/ELD Coach, I am honored to continue supporting our students, teachers, and school community in this new role. I look forward to collaborating with staff, families, and students to create opportunities for every Jaguar to succeed.
I bring 25 years of experience in education and a passion for supporting students and educators through meaningful, research based practices. Throughout my career as a classroom teacher and instructional coach, I have focused on literacy, student achievement, and helping students reach their full potential.
I am especially passionate about supporting our Multilingual Learners and ensuring they have the resources and opportunities they need to succeed. In my role as Program Specialist, I will continue to support ELPAC success, reclassification efforts, student progress, and the needs of our diverse student groups across campus.
I am grateful to continue being part of the Jehue Jaguar community and look forward to a year filled with collaboration, growth, and success for all of our students.
